Amanda Kohn joined the UMN team as a Sustainability Project Manager to support system-wide efforts in 2022. She is a sustainability and climate resiliency professional with experience in managing planning and design projects that incorporate equitable public engagement. Most recently she was employed as the Sustainability Director for the Town of Concord, MA where she was responsible for implementing the Town's climate action and resilience plan in coordination with other municipal departments and the municipal light plant. Prior to her time in Concord, Amanda worked at the multi-disciplinary design firm, Weston and Sampson, where her primary responsibility was managing the firm’s multi-million-dollar climate adaptation grant development and project work. Amanda holds a master’s degree from Tufts University in Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy and bachelor’s degrees from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in Biology, Environmental Science, and Sociology. In her free time, she enjoys being outside by exploring local walking trails, going to the beach, and joining friends for low-key sports outings.
