He ensured alignment with regulatory requirements, sustainability objectives, and budget parameters, while coordinating environmental impact assessments, conducting climate risk analyses, engaging landowners, regulators and stakeholders, and overseeing environmental performance reporting and resilience-focused infrastructure planning.
Andrew’s professional background also spans applied climate research, integrated water resource planning, and sustainability reporting. As a Graduate Research Assistant with the National Drought Mitigation Center, he designed and facilitated climate adaptation workshops and scenario planning exercises for communities across the United States. He contributed to the development and implementation of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS), strengthening institutional data and cross-campus sustainability coordination. His work with the Nebraska State Climate Office and Nebraska Department of Natural Resources further deepened his expertise in climate policy, water planning, and interagency collaboration.
Internationally, Andrew founded and led the Zambia Environmental Advocacy and Community Health Organization (ZEACHO), advancing grassroots climate resilience initiatives. As Director of Operations at African Carbon Solutions, he directed stakeholder engagement and education efforts for carbon offset and climate-smart community-based projects. Through leadership roles with Rotary International, where he has served as Club President and District Assistant Governor, he has spearheaded tree-planting initiatives, environmental campaigns, and international sustainability partnerships.
At the University of Minnesota, Andrew supports and advances implementation of the 2023 Climate Action Plan, strengthening cross-campus collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and institutional climate leadership. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys playing bass guitar, biking, serving community causes through his local Rotary club, and recently discovered a passion for Zumba.
