Jonna Korpi serves as the Director for the Office of Sustainability at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She works to engage students in social, economic, and environmental justice and sustainability issues and supports student leadership in pursuing systems change. Jonna earned a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Washington Tacoma and has a B.A. in Psychology and B.S. in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of North Dakota. She previously worked for nonprofits in a variety of fields, including small-scale organic farming, energy conservation, resource development, and transitional housing facility management. Jonna is also an AmeriCorps alumnus and was the Program Director for True North AmeriCorps in Duluth before joining the Sustainability Office at UMD. Jonna spends her free time hiking, foraging, growing food, and embracing radical homemaking.
